About Callcorr
The Company “CALLCORR” was derived from directors Michael & Melissa Callander; CALL from Callander & CORR from Melissa’s maiden name. Michael started Earthmoving in the 1980’s; as an apprentice Heavy Diesel Fitter in Sarina, QLD where his family’s Earthmoving Establishment was located. Qualified as a Diesel Fitter, Michael moved forward to a supervisor’s role gaining exposure to operations, production & maintenance works to a variety of civil & mining applications & sites to a multitude of makes & models of plant & machinery.
Michael & Melissa took advantage of their backgrounds in Mining, Agriculture, Quarry & Civil surroundings by commencing as a business “Callcorr Pty Ltd” in 2007. With the initial purchase of a Caterpillar 16H Grader to supply to site and to expand a local repair workshop which is where the head office, workshop facilities & lay down area is located to this day. Thus enabling growth for clients across the sectors to become a leading supplier for rebuilding components, major & minor repairs, maintenance & refurbs to machinery, mobile plant, auxiliary & fixed plant; as these operations grew so did the demand for the workforce & skill set to expand.
The Labour Hire Division was established to provide solutions for client’s technical requirements out in the field & across sites. Predominately based in the Bowen Basin Mining Sector near Mackay we have the capacity & capabilities enabling Callcorr not only to cover local but Qld & interstate work scopes. Our Field Service units are fully mobile with extensive tooling onboard as we understand that in some environments that we need to present to the equipment to troubleshoot, diagnose & carry out repairs on-site.
As a contractor & partner to some of Australia’s most successful companies; Michael managed the growth carefully to ensure personnel was a high level of industry standard, we are able to draw from this vast reservoir to manage workings in a safe yet productive manner whilst value for money to the client. Callcorr Equipment Hire Pty Ltd, another entity of Callcorr, was established to accommodate the calling for dry hire of fleet machinery packages across several sites. Attaining late model and low-houred equipment, we are able to provide the equipment on short or long term basis, fully maintained & compliant to site specific standards. Our attributes are statistics of achieving & maintaining machine efficiency of greater than 95% availability by Callcorr’s team of Field Service Maintenance Division.
A heavy haulage transport division consisting of several prime mover truck & float set ups was implemented to enable transportation of machinery site to site, anywhere in Australia & to all port authorities. We cater to all mobilisation/demobilisation requirements such as permits, escorts/pilots, electricity suppliers for lifts of lines & crane use. A team of personnel can be supplied to pull down machinery where this needs to comply with standards of transportation. A component of the hire equipment that attracts clients that whilst your machine is down for maintenance and or repairs, we offer a replacement service keeping your downtime to a minimum therefore not to affect production commitments.
